Treviso Suona Jazz is the Treviso city  Jazz music festival, a week-long musical performance which was created and organized by Urbano contemporaneo, a local cultural association, with The collaboration of  Treviso municipality.
The festival was born in 2015 and wants to combine high quality music with interesting historic and artistic places of the town. Treviso Suona Jazz’s ambition is also to create a exclusive relationship between music, art and architecture.
The festival enters the most beautiful churches and museums of Treviso, the ancient palaces, the auditoriums and theatres, as well as bookshops, typical restaurants and bars, and several exhibition spaces.
The aim of the festival is to promote and enhance the jazz music and its branches, and in the mean time to share with people a cultural worthy project for the town and its surroundings, growing year by year . Furthermore, the festival is a great opportunity of social meeting in the most beautiful places of the town.
The special ingredients of the next festival edition will be Italian  Top Jazz musicians performances, free concerts held by the most important local Conservatories Big Bands, together with workshops, films, exhibitions, and street parades. Jazz lovers will also appreciate the “music improvisation around the town “, which take place inside the nicest bars and restaurants of Treviso:  we are talking about special events that combine excellent cuisine and good music, played by musicians from our beautiful town and its Province.
The study and the organization of a jazz music festival in Treviso started as a challenge for us, but it became soon a reality, which is richer and stronger and renewed year by year. This is evidenced by the intensive attention of national and foreign media, as well as a wider and wider audience of families, jazz fans, professional musicians, all of them coming to Treviso every year to follow our festival and to spend a happy week in the town.
The artistic direction of the festival is lead by Nicola Bortolanza, jazz fan since he was a child and double bass player himself.
